Jack-Up Concrete Floating Floors for Plant Room, Bankside 123

We installed a floating floor with an approximate area of 600 square metres for a plant room on this attractive office building in Southwark, London.

This floating floor supports 6 Diesel Generators weighing approximately 12 tons each plus associated daily fuel tanks and intake and exhaust attenuators. The edge of the floor supports a steel acoustic panel system which encloses the entire room together with mid floor support columns weighing up to 50 tons each. The floor is bunded to contain all fluid spills.

The floor has been designed to achieve a natural frequency of 12Hz and will greatly reduce the noise from the generators to the offices below.
