Concrete Jack Up Floating Floors – One Wilton Park – LinkedIn HQ Dublin

LinkedIn HQ Dublin, Ireland

Mason UK were brought on board by Structuretone to design two Jack Up Floating Floors for the Live Action and Edit Bay Rooms at the new LinkedIn headquarters in Dublin.

The studios were located on a ground floor suspended slab. To comply with load restrictions, the floating floors were designed thinner than normal at 80mm thick. In most cases the floating floors we design are 100mm thick.

Mason UK designed, provided all acoustic materials, and supervised the installation on site of the floating floors undertaken by Structuretone’s concrete contractor. Our engineer undertook all QA tasks checking the installation at key stages.

The installation was a success taking only 3 days to prep and pour the floors and 1 day to jack the floors once the concrete had cured.

The jack up system again proved ideal, as the Raised Access Floor contractor on site the same time as Mason UK required the floors to be lowered slightly to match threshold levels.

Acoustic Isolation of Recording Studios

Whether your studio is for film, television, radio or music production; it is crucial that it is totally free from external noise. Any slight sound or disruption of the recording process can reduce the quality of, or even ruin, the end product.
