Acoustic Floating Floors

Floating floors systems are used for many purposes, predominantly to prevent noise passing through the floor but also to isolate against vibration and impact

Concrete Floating Floors

MFS-B 25mm Deflection Floor Spring Mount

Our MFS spring mounts are available with higher deflection 25mm springs (titled MFS-B). Utilising our 30-B series springs enables the mounts to achieve lower natural frequencies and therefore improve isolation performance from typical gym activities, compared to the standard MFS mounts.

HDQF-A Rubber Ceiling Hangers

HDQF quick fit ceiling hangers use high quality low dynamic stiffness natural rubber. This hanger has been designed to aid the contractor with a quick and easy installation of suspended acoustic ceilings.

Super W Pad

Super W pads feature unique waffle pockets which allow for greater deformation of the material, providing excellent isolation performance. Super W anti-vibration pads can be supplied in multiple configurations to suit most situations.

HG Grommets Bolt Isolation Bushings

HG Grommets are rubber bolt isolation washer bushings designed to allow a fixing to be passed through without compromising the benefits of an anti-vibration layer.

W Pad

Waffle pad is a thin anti-vibration mat featuring a series of square cut outs which increase the amount of material which can deform under load.

Mini Super W Pad

Mini Super W pads feature unique waffle pockets which allow for greater deformation of the material, providing excellent isolation performance. Mini Super W anti-vibration pads can be supplied in multiple configurations to suit most situations.

  • Rubber Expansion Joints

Control Rods and Cables

Expansion joints installed in unanchored piping or connected to isolated equipment must have control rods; those control rods must be properly set so that allowable movements are not exceeded.

Thrust Restraints

Thrust restraints are recommended for all fan heads and for axial or centrifugal fans when the air thrust exceeds 10% of the equipment weight.

Ball Joints

Ball joints are used to allow for pipe movement from such scenarios as thermal expansion.

Concentric & Eccentric Reducers

These products are flanged concentric and eccentric reducing expansion joints with spherical arches. The carcass is made of multiple plies of tough, rubber impregnated fabric or tire cord with rubber and duck flanges integral with body.

Building Isolation Products

  • All
  • Elastomeric Isolation Bearings
  • Isolation Bearing Products
  • Products
  • Structural Isolation Bearings

Elastomeric Isolation Bearings

Elastomeric bearings can be made from a variety of materials and are very effective against most medium to high frequency vibration sources. The material choice depends on the environment, but natural rubber is the most common choice due to its low dynamic stiffness.

Spring Isolation Bearings

Spring bearings are used to isolate against low frequency vibration sources and impact. They can be made using single or multiple springs and low natural frequencies of less than 2.0Hz can be achieved.

Structural Isolation Bearings

Building isolation bearings are used to isolate entire buildings or elements such as walls, floor plates, or columns. Bearings are normally bespoke, designed to accept the specific loads and have the correct isolation characteristics.

Mercer Duct Connectors

Flexible Connectors are used in duct systems to reduce vibration transmission and shock and accommodate thermal movements at minimum stress to the ductwork.

VIBRAFLEX 150 Reinforced Rubber Pipe (Fluid Service)

The Mercer Vibraflex reinforced rubber pipe is hand built by our skilled craftsmen. To minimize pipe elongation, the carcass is constructed of multiple plies of high tensile polyester tire cord or Kevlar for high temperatures.

Series 1000 Low Spring Rate, Large Movement Expansion Joints

The Series 1000 are low spring rate, large movement expansion joints for applications where significant movement is required in the pipeline.

Series 800 Teflon Lined Expansion Joints

MERCER Series 800 PTFE Teflon® expansion joints are the sure and economical way to solve difficult expansion and misalignment problems. The Teflon® material is corrosive-proof, chemically inert and does not age.

Series 700 Invincible Teflon Lined Expansion Joints

Mercer Invincible Series 700 Teflon® lined expansion joints combine the advantages of Teflon’s® anti-stick properties, superior strength, excellent chemical resistance and non-aging, with the advantages of Mercer’s elastomeric expansion joints.

Series 500 & 600 Invincible Heavy Duty Expansion Joints

The Mercer Invincible 500 and 600 series are our most rugged expansion joints. They are all hand built by our skilled craftsmen.

Series 450 Flexmore Expansion Joint

Mercer Flexmore Series 450 is the most economical, full-pressure elastomeric expansion joint available. Tough fabric and tirecord plies are bonded between the tube and cover in a steel mould and then cured in a thermostatically controlled steam chamber.

Series 300 Sleeve Type Expansion Joint

Our Mercer series 300 sleeve type expansion joints are available in a large variety of tube and cover material for different applications. Such materials as EPDM, Hypalon, Neoprene, Nitrile and more.

Mercer Connectors

Mercer Rubber Company, established in 1866, is the oldest U.S. manufacturer of rubber expansion joints, flexible duct connectors and industrial hose. All connectors are hand built to the highest standards.

Masonflex Expansion Joints

Masonflex has been sold without interruption for approximately 25 years. In this latest improved version the Kevlar® reinforcement replaces Nylon to greatly reduce elongation and to provide virtual insensitivity to high temperatures.

HD LDS Rubber Acoustic Ceiling Hangers

The HD range of hangers is one of our most popular anti-vibration hangers. The acoustic hanger uses a high quality low dynamic stiffness (LDS) natural rubber element which offers excellent acoustic sound isolation properties.

HDQF-X Spring Hanger

HDQF-X quick fit ceiling hanger (Spring Variant). This hanger has been designed to aid the contractor with a quick and easy installation of suspended acoustic ceilings.

30 Series – Acoustic Spring Hanger

The 30 hanger series can be fitted with a range of springs to suit acoustic and weight requirements. Spring hangers are used to isolate against low frequency noise from sources such as footfalls and mechanical vibration.

30N Series – Spring Hanger

The 30N hanger series can be fitted with a range of springs to suit acoustic and weight requirements. Spring hangers are used to isolate against low frequency noise from sources such as footfalls and mechanical vibration.

Rubber Expansion Joints

There are many types of flexible pipe connectors and expansion joints produced by Mason Industries. This page gives a brief overview with links to more specific product details.

Elastomeric Isolation Bearings

Elastomeric bearings can be made from a variety of materials and are very effective against most medium to high frequency vibration sources. The material choice depends on the environment, but natural rubber is the most common choice due to its low dynamic stiffness.

Super Flex Pipe Connectors

Super Flex expansion joints were designed after years of application experience. They are great for vibration & noise control.

Safe Flex Pipe Connectors

The Safeflex flange uses a fully encapsulated square section ring instead of cables. This greatly reduces the risk of failure and eliminates the need for control rods/cables at normal working pressures.
