Mason UK visits Mason Industries

Mason UK directors visit New York manufacturing operation

Adam Fox and Steve Hart, directors of Mason UK, recently returned from a trip to New York to discuss the capabilities of Mason Industries’ factory. Adam and Steve spent time with Mason Industries’ President Doug Valerio and had a tour of the company’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, in addition to receiving training in structural isolation and thermal expansion in pipe systems.

Mason UK is the exclusive UK agent for Mason Industries. The partnership places Mason UK in a unique position in the UK market, as it is one of the only companies able to provide bespoke manufactured products and have full control over its supply chain.

“Visiting the New York facility in person gave me the chance to see some of the impressive changes to the manufacturing operation,” explained Adam. “We saw firsthand the intense focus on quality and how the factory has been refined to provide a better working environment.’’

Mason UK and Mason Industries have also worked together on high-profile infrastructure projects, such as providing mechanical products for pipe runs and duct works at Europe’s largest manufacturing facility. The mechanical side of the business is one area that Mason UK expects to see growth in the coming months and Adam and Steve also benefited from the training in thermal movement in pipe systems.

“Having worked with Mason Industries side by side on our largest project, we knew they engineered every product with incredible precision,’’ explained Steve. “Seeing the operation in person though gives you a new perspective on this. The factory really is remarkable and probably the cleanest manufacturing environment I have ever seen.”

In addition, Adam and Steve undertook further training in structural isolation. In the UK, Adam’s experience on major projects such as Cambridge House makes him one of the country’s leading experts in this area of engineering and he has delivered talks across the country based on his experience of that unique project.

This visit is the second time in three months a representative of Mason UK has visited Mason Industries in person. In June, Bruce Craik travelled to New York for face-to-face meetings to discuss how Mason UK can further enhance its mechanical offering in the UK.

“We were treated with wonderful hospitality, which Mason would extend to anyone finding themselves in Long Island,’’ said Adam. “We are proud to be UK representatives of Mason Industries and what I saw on this trip only made me prouder.”
